Here it comes, the future. Nanotechnology is a new paradigm rising up right with the speed of light and maybe even faster since it has lover resolution then the light wave has. The nano fabric heading into our clothes, into pharmaceutics into the whole world, new shiny technology the world haven’t seen. Yes the nano world is all around us, but unlike “old” nano structures which are result of the millions years long evolution the new one (artificial kind)  is here just few years and more than that, it was developed by one stupid kind, generally called Human. This kind thinks it can understand the whole world because it has brain in it’s head. Yep, even the bird has one.

OK let’s speak bit more closer. The nano particles used for example during the MRI with the size that can get into the cell as the sharpest blade into the flash can cause the cancer, but it doesn’t ..or it does?. If such a particle apear in the body alone uncovered by for instance some kind of Polymer it might stick into cell and so become the seed of cancer. (more…)

You know the end of the year is here again and it’s always tough to find any reasonable thing to do. This year could be different ;) During the December 27th to 30th, 2008 Berlin will hosts 25th Chaos Communication Congress.
I always wanted to either do my own stuff or see anything that is related to my own thoughts and get rid of the common s…. at this time. If all things goes well will spend those otherwise boring days learn something interesting.

This is bit out of the common topics on this site, but once it’s done it has to shared?
I’m happy to test the iPhone for a while and find out the GPS pretty useful. Because the iPhone use Google maps you have to download the current map tiles on the way and it cost money. I’m the type who always tries to find the way how to customize things for him self …bla bla bla.

Here is the cheap solution.

Luckily the iPhone is on the market for a while and people have same needs. If you have your iPhone Jailbroken the go to Cydia (freeware) and download OfflineMaps (freeware).

The tricky part is that you have to make the map for your self first and then upload it to you iPhone ;) You can either use the GMDL (freeware) application and make the maps of you desired location or you can download (207MB) mine I have made for my self. I made two maps, one in high resolution for Prague and one for whole Czech republic in lower resolution.. the map is not totally complete it lacks the lower part of Czech Republic, the one that touches the Slovak republic, but if you live in the same suburb as I do, this map will be fine for you ;)
The use the DiskAid app, (freeware) plug the iPhone to your PC with Windows (sorry guys but just for now) and navigate to /var/mobile/media/maps place the content of this file there. So that the Maps folder will includes two folders cz & ph, each of them with two files com.apple.Maps.plist & MapTiles.sqlitedb. Go to Your OfflineMaps chose those maps and you are done. Enjoy.
The GPS localisation system works without the Wifi, Edge, cellular data connection, so if not less you always find your self on the map and then you will know where you are.

This post might seems out off topic but I think it’s a nice project so I want you to know it as well.

The story:
I wanted to buy  The TAO TE CHING book written by Lao tzu so I went straight to Amazon and found there an old translation form 1943 hardcover. You know once I want to buy a book it has to have grate cover :), but the picture isn’t presented there so I went on searching and first found http://www.taoteching.org/ where is all the poetry in nice order but then I found thegutenberg.org site. There are no pictures of any covers as far as I know but couple free book about 3 millions ;). They are in txt, pdf an many more formats, so if you like to read something and don’t want to wait for delivery or you don’t mind the blinking screen when you read give it try.

Ok guys, I have been hacked twice within the last half a year, they hacked first my old project site http://bfight.org and now my http://emblem.cc. This all means and they are more then right I do not mind what those sites do, or how they look like, even more the system and the security is, week (I did some things but surely not enough). It’s a pretty hard work make the site to be secure all the time, and once you have more of them as I do…. ;)
